About Vets Of East Texas

Vets Of East Texas was founded in June 2018 to provide reliable, high-quality veterinary care in East Texas. Our name reflects our location so clients can simply say, “We go to the vet on Fourth,” and know they’ll be cared for by any doctor on duty, any day of the year. Vets Of East Texas is the first of the Vets of East Texas clinics.

Mission & Vision of Vets Of East Texas

Mission: Vets Of East Texas strives to provide top-of-the-line veterinary care for wellness, illness, and injury, while actively engaging our community through outreach, fundraisers, and client education.

Vision: Founded by Dr. Robert Gribble, our practice was built to expand access to excellent veterinary medicine across East Texas. To support that vision, he recruited experienced, full-time doctors and developed companion locations to serve more families.

Our Medical Team & Culture

Our culture prioritizes gold-standard medicine and clear communication. We invest in training and teamwork so patients receive consistent, attentive care.

  • Leadership & Doctors: Dr. Cara Bankson (Lead Doctor; certified in veterinary chiropractic and acupuncture; currently pursuing an MBA) and Dr. Meghan Kartley (experienced with large and small breeds; previously owned and operated practices in Tennessee and Ohio) provide full-time care in Longview.
  • Vets of East Texas Network: Dr. Gribble reopened and renamed Hallsville Veterinary Hospital as The Vet on West Main (Hallsville) with Dr. Lisa Snow. In Tyler, The Vet on Broadway is operated by partner Dr. Erica Dumeyer; Dr. Payton White joined that team in summer 2025.
  • Support Team: Our practice manager, Missy, and multiple technicians, receptionists, and technician assistants have been with us since 2018, supporting continuity of care and a strong team environment.
